A Kangaroo hazard exists at the helipad. Crews are to take caution on approach as there is a large number of kangaroos present around the hospital grounds.

Safety Risk!
BAT HAZARD - There is a large bat population inhabiting an area on the Peel river, in the south eastern area of the CBD. These bats are mostly active at dusk and have been seen to be heading in an easterly direction, They have been encountered near the hospital approaching from the south east. The infested (nesting) area is only 1.6nm bearing 160 deg from the TBH helipad.
